Large section of Indian Diaspora across the globe has been traditionally a big supporter and sympathizer of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP) was formed in mid-90s in order to channelize their enthusiasm and energy. Initially started in USA and UK, now it has branches in close to 40 countries.
The British Columbia Chapter of OFBJP is led by Aditya Tawatia. This chapter has been actively working to strengthen cultural and economic ties between the Canada and India for the past 2 years.
